About

Ok, I’ll admit I haven’t been everywhere and done everything – but I’m working on it. I’ve been to all 7 continents (repeatedly), sailed on all 7 oceans, ridden elephants and camels, flown on the Concord, sailed on the QE2, and slept in a Turkish prison (ok, so it used to be a prison, it’s now a Four Season’s hotel). I rode the rails on the Bullet, slept in palaces and castles, and said a prayer in a Buddhist temple. I’ve marveled at the wonders of Egypt and the grandeur of Rome, set sail on a Clipper, walked in the footsteps of Czars, and even met a Crown Prince (unfortunately I was only 11). I’ve been through the Panama, Kiel and Suez canals, safaried in Africa, swan in Antarctica (no I’m not kidding, I’ve got the picture to prove it!), and shopped at Harrod’s. I’ve haggled in the Casbah, spent Sundays at JJs, and bargained at the Night Markets in Kuala Lumpur. I’ve explored the Catacombs under Rome, wandered the ruins of Angkor, and baked on the beaches in Phuket and Copa Cabana. I’ve snorkeled in Papua New Guinea, watched lions and dragons dance in Hong Kong, and listended to a concert in Katherine’s Palace. I’ve explored the Highlands of Scotland, closed the Tower of London, climbed to the top Chickenitza, and there’s still a million things I haven’t done yet.

My parents both loved travel, and they passed that love of travel onto me at a young age. I don’t even remember the first time I was in a plane. I was born a little late in my parents life (they were 47), and since I was the only one – I went everywhere with them.

When I was 8 my mother retired from teaching, and my parents started traveling internationally, something they had always wanted to do. By the time I was 12 we’d visited 10 countries. At 20 I started researching, planning and booking our trips. The world is such a beautiful place with so many wonders, I don’t think I’ll ever run out of places to go.

Through almost all my travels I’m the one who researched and planned the trips. I’ve been encouraged over the years to share those tips and tricks I’ve learned. That’s what this site is all about! If it helps you get more out of your travels, great. Just remember, the world constantly changes and there’s no way I can guarantee you’ll have the same experience I did (good or bad), so travel at your own risk and travel safe.
